3 steps to play easy for a multitude of
Most people are not comfortable performing for people. If I say that I act like an instrument, or singing or acting, I mean more than just knowing how to do well with your chosen craft, I mean it well and for people. It’s the front of people we get every time. How many of us sing like a bird in the shower, but then when people look, we can not wear a nut. Here are three steps to start you on the road to comfort (never complete) when you are encouraged to shine.
- Do not neglect to practice. Whether you sing or play an instrument practice is the key to relaxation. The more familiar you are with what you perform, the less fear you will have about the exchange.
- Do not back up. Piano instruction gives it all the time. If you are ripped into the middle or anywhere in your piece, do not back up and repeat the offensive part. Hold on. The chances are that you have not even heard of it.
- Try not to be critical of your technical skill. Focus more on your overall performance. How does it sound like a whole? If you are a pianist and you are worried about your fingers, you ignore the song and how it sounds. Get worried about techniques when you practice. What must be often.
With time playing and for other people will be much easier. You will be natural. So use every opportunity to show you well!
