According to one study, olive oil can even help protect the body against cancer including skin cancer, and ward off the effects of sunlight on the skin. This effect is thought to be related to antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties contained in olive oil. However, the clinical benefits of olive oil for cancer still need further proof.
