Bill and Melinda Gates Divorce, QAnon Supporters Spread Conspiracy Theories
Windowofworld.com – The divorce of Bill Gates and Melinda Gates shocked everyone, especially the philanthropist world, which has known the two of them as generous. But for supporters of the QAnon conspiracy theory, divorce is like heaven’s wind. It didn’t take long for QAnon followers to turn the news of Bill and Melinda Gates’s divorce into bait for conspiracy theories.
Bill and Melinda Gates announced their separation after 27 years of marriage on Monday. The news sparked a ‘burst of’ posts on Telegram, Gab and other platforms popular with QAnon followers, a conspiracy theory that accuses Satanic elites of running a global child sex trafficking network and plotting against Donald Trump when he becomes president.
Bill Gates was a prime target for QAnon last year, when his worshipers claimed he was the leader in the ring that should be. Most notably, QAnon members spread disinformation that Gates engineered a COVID-19 vaccine to embed chips in people through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s vaccine initiative, which delivers essential vaccines to millions of people in developing countries.
“So now that Bill (loser) Gates and his wife are separating, I just have the feeling that he might not live much longer considering he knows TOO MUCH about his evil plans!” one QAnon supporter wrote about Bill Gates on the Gab platform, as quoted by Newsweek, Wednesday (5/5/2021).
“If I had to guess, globalists might try to ‘kill themselves’ Epstein or just make him ‘disappear’, but that’s just my suspicion!” He continued referring to the suicide case of Jefrey Epstein in prison while serving a sentence for child sex trafficking.
QAnon’s own account has been banned on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram following the January 6 attacks on the US Capitol for spreading misinformation and the potential to incite further violence. But alternative platforms like Twitch, Gab and Telegram have allowed QAnoners to continue to share conspiracy theories.
Alex Jones, a right-wing radio host and conspiracy theorist, also found his “home” on alternative social media, where he also commented on Bill Gates’ divorce. In a video viewed on BanThis.tv, Jones reinforces QAnon’s claim that Gates laundered money through a “tax-free foundation.” This video was shared among the QAnon users and group.
“Bill Gates has bought US and European media almost entirely. Remember in the 1990s he was arrested at Microsoft for antitrust practices and stealing other companies’ software?” said Jones in the video.
“He was known as a criminal, but then he changed his name to become a world doctor,” he added.
Other theories about the couple’s divorce include calling Melinda Gates actually a man, as well as her leaving Bill Gates for Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which is another favorite target of QAnon conspiracy theories.
Neither of these claims is supported by evidence, and Bill and Melinda Gates have not responded publicly.
On Monday, Bill Gates tweeted a message asking for privacy.
“After a lot of thought and a lot of effort into our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Over the past 27 years, we have raised three wonderful children and built a foundation that works around the world to enable everyone to lead healthy and healthy lives. productive, “the statement read.
“We continue to share faith in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our families as we begin to navigate this new life. “read the message.
