French Speaking Today
Check out my handy tips to find out how easy it is to learn French like crazy. These tips are designed to help speakers at every level – whether you are a beginner or intermediate level, I know for sure you can benefit from some simple advice.
How did you ever think of DIY French? It’s easy if you know how, so here’s how to make your own French phrase cards. There is so easy and cost to make almost nothing. Pick up a card from your local store and cut it into small rectangles of about a credit card (it doesn’t have to be accurate). Next, get on the internet and find some easy French words and phrases every day. Write the French word or phrase on one side of the map and the English translation on the other. Test yourself by flipping the maps and guessing the correct translation. Take these cards everywhere for you to practice. Don’t teach them too long every day; about 10-15 minutes is perfect.
Another excellent way to learn is to use a French teaching course. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to mean expensive and boring academic courses. Some of the CD and MP3 courses on the market are very affordable and offer new innovative and fun ways to learn. The makers of these courses understand that people want to learn new languages quickly, which is why they tend not to endure the courses with boring male and female grammar. Courses now focus on conversational skills, so that learners can expect much faster results in a shorter time.
Don’t underestimate books. With courses, I can use the latest technology to teach you, but reading is still one of the best ways to learn new skills. People have been reading for centuries. There are a number of amazing books on learning French, you will be surprised how many titles you will find at your local bookstore. Remember, you don’t have to buy the expensive books by renting them from your local library. It’s a great way to save money!
The number one way to learn any new language is to go to a French speaking country. You will be forced to pick up the language because you are out of your comfort zone. In a few months, people have managed to learn to speak another language fluently, simply by living in a foreign country. You learn very fast because you have to. This is a very drastic and expensive criterion, but it will definitely work. I realize that this may not be an option for many learners, so you can try a little French culture in your hometown. You can do this by simply watching a French movie, eating in a French restaurant or going out of your way to meet some French speakers.
I hope my handy tips give you a better idea of how easy it is to learn French like crazy. If you follow my simple steps, your French will surely jump.
