Li Meng Yan Promises Evidence of Covid-19 Made in the Chinese Communist Party’s Military Lab
Windowofworld.com – Dr Li Meng Yan, a Chinese scientist who fled to the United States (US), made a world scene when he claimed the new corona virus (Covid-19) was created in the Chinese Communist Party’s laboratory. This time, he appeared on television promising to publish evidence of his claims.
Li, a China virologist based in Hong Kong, previously backed claims that Beijing was trying to silence anyone trying to raise awareness when the virus first emerged in Wuhan in 2019.
This female scientist fled to the US in late April. He spoke publicly that he had to leave Hong Kong because he knew how China treats whistleblowers.
From the early stages of the pandemic, there have been reports of doctors being detained after trying to warn others about the virus on social media.
Journalists’ equipment was also confiscated after trying to report the matter.
Li, a former specialist at Hong Kong’s School of Public Health, said his boss first asked him to investigate the new “SARS-like” virus in Wuhan on December 31, 2019. However, his efforts later stalled.
He admitted to reporting back that the virus cases were increasing exponentially. However, he was told to “keep quiet and be careful.”
“‘We’re going to get into trouble and we’ll disappear,'” Li quoted his supervisor as saying.
He also supported claims that the virus did not originate in a meat market in Wuhan – and is widely considered – but originated in a virology institute in the city.
Speaking on the British television show “Loose Women” from an undisclosed location on Friday, Li said; “It came from a laboratory in Wuhan.”
“The genome sequence is like a human fingerprint,” he said, as quoted by news.com.au, Saturday (12/09/2020). “Based on this you can identify those things.”
“I would (use) this evidence to tell people why this (virus) came from a laboratory in China, why they made it,” Li said.
“Anyone, even if you have no knowledge of biology, will be able to read it, and check and identify and verify it yourself,” Li continued.
He also said the Chinese authorities began working to discredit him before he even left the country.
“They deleted all of my information and also they told people to spread rumors about me,” he said.
“That I am a liar, I do not know anything, I just killed a hamster in the lab,” he continued.
“They will try to control my family and friends and then suddenly I’m not around.”
Last August, the Chinese virologist who fled to the US was blunt in a live interview with the Taiwan News Agency Lude Press that the virus was human-made. “At that time, I clearly judged that the virus came from the Chinese Communist Party’s military laboratory,” he said last month.
“The Wuhan wet market is only used as bait,” he said.
Experts previously cast doubt on claims that the coronavirus was created in a laboratory. Most scientists who have studied its genetic makeup have concluded that the virus occurred naturally and was passed on to humans from animals, thought to be bats.
Writing in a research paper published earlier this year, immunologist Kristian Andersen PhD from the Scripps Research Institute in California said; “By comparing the available genomic sequence data for known types of coronavirus, we can firmly determine that (Covid-19) originated from a natural process.”
