Romantic movies that will let
Romance is a serious business. Or is it?
What do you think will choose your husband when tested:
a.) Look at the beautiful tearjerker movie, The Notebook
- Do anything that does not involve watching the Notebook.
My answer is easy. My husband will choose a root canal rather than putting a movie such as The Notebook of Terms of Endearment. Do not misunderstand me. It does not mean hes not romantic. The man loved deeper than I could describe. Hes simply not a fan of traditional romance films.
Our dates usually include Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Owen Wilson or Jim Carrey. These men do not know, but they are a big part of what makes our marriage such a joy. The fact that our dates are a nice movie instead of a forced moment, means my husband is happy and relaxes two good things for romance.
Are you looking for a nice romantic romantic movie that you and your husband will enjoy? Here are some of our favorites.
The Princess Bride (1987)
Is this a kissbook? The Princess Bride is the story of a woman forced to marry a cold evil prince while her true love tries to stop the wedding.
I do not know how many times I tried to get my husband to watch this movie until I finally left the movie and clicked the distance and hid the distance. It’s one of his favorite movies. He loves it because of comedy and fighting. I love it because it’s just a joy to watch.
Groundhog Day (1993)
After being reluctant to cover Punksatawney Phil for Groundhog Day, a weaver was held asleep.
It’s one of my men’s favorite movies. Plus, if your husband is a fan of Caddyshack, hell Bill Murray once again appreciates a rodent.
The Wedding Singer (1998)
Robbie, the wedding singer and Julia, the waitress is planned to be married but to the wrong people.
Anyone remembering the 80’s will enjoy it thoroughly. And every woman will be teary-eyed when Robbie sings until the end becomes old.
Love Actually (2003)
This movie depicts eight stories of love. It shows romantic love, as well as love for a father to his son, love between siblings and love for friendship. It’s a beautiful story that shows that love is all around. It’s funny on so many levels, but also deeply touched.
Romance does not have to be serious. It can be fun! Just enjoy each other. Go for a funny movie, snuggle with your mum and enjoy.
